Well, it just didn’t happen. Despite a dedicated training ground and huge amounts of Lottery money England struggled. Are we disappointed – yup – but we will come back stronger.

So- we move forward to 2016 . We have  Euro 2016 in France  to look forward to next and of course the Olympics in Brazil. Will we do as well in Brazil as we did in 2012 in Good Old Blighty? We at Rentrifone think so. Last time we won 29 Gold, 17 Silver and 20 Bronze medals – that’s a total haul of 65 medals, placing us at third in the rankings. (It wasn’t so many years ago when the UK winning two gold medals was considered something of a miracle ! Mary Peters – where are you!!)

Hot favourites for the Olympics ? Well, the best disciplines seem to be Cycling, the Equestrian events and Rowing – 26 medals in total In 2012. And we shouldn’t forget our fantastic Para-Olympians. Last time in 2012 the haul was – wait for it – one hundred and twenty medals.

So – Euro 2016 in France. The pundits are already sorting out the team. Will it include Rooney and Walcott. Sterling and O. Chamberlain look like certainties, and of course – unless he breaks an arm Hart will be our Goal Keeper. As for the rest it depends on whether you support Manchester United / City, Everton, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham, Who would have Roy Hodgeson’s job. ( It seems like there is now a certain Portuguese gentleman who is looking for a job )

Anyway – whatever happens in France and Brazil in 2016  we at Rentrifone will support the TEAM. Good Luck Guys
